DescriptionCliff Drysdale Tennis is pleased to announce an
exciting opportunity of a full-time position for a Junior Program
Director!Compensation: Hourly + Commission of Junior Program
Quarterly Discretional BonusesGeneral Responsibilities:
- Develop a personal clientele of private lessons.
- Plan ahead and anticipate workload by adding private lessons to
booking sheet before the week begins.
- Prepare the courts and staff assigned to assist in the program
20 minutes before program begins.
- Keep daily logs of attendance and payment information for all
assigned programs.
- Encourage all members/guests to participate in various
activities by promoting events and programs at the facility.
- Attend staff meetings, weekly programming meetings and schedule
meeting with the facility manager to review their progress.
- Address and resolve any facility/guest/member concerns with the
Director of Tennis.
- Follow all facility rules and procedures.Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the growth, promotion and organization of all
junior programming.
- Coordinate and/or provide assistance with special events
throughout the year.
- All ideas, promotions and procedures must be pre-approved by
the director at least 2 weeks prior. Special events that require a
budget and marketing collateral should be prepared at a minimum of
2 months in advance.
- Employee will essentially be "on call" 6 days a week for all
lessons and clinics that are scheduled throughout each day. If
unavailable for any reason, it must be made known in advance.
Appropriate turn-around time will be allowed in order to get to the
club for lessons that call in on the day and not previously
scheduled.
- Run a minimum of 2 USTA Junior tournaments per year (will be
paid a commission and hourly rate for working these).
- Run a junior round robin or SSV tournament each month outside
of summer (the focus of this will be getting match play started for
non-academy players).
- Manage JTT teams.
- Assist director with junior camps in spring, summer, and
fall.Education/Experience:
- Minimum 2-year experience required.Physical Demands:
- Frequently stands, walks, uses hands, talks, hears, reaches
with hands and arms, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or
crawls. Occasionally sits.
- Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50
pounds.
- Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.
- Noise level is moderate.Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability
Preferences:
- Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to
perform the duties of the job (e.g., the staff may be required to
communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the
manuals for the equipment used are in English).
- Skill level equivalent to a minimum 4.0 USTA rating.Company
