About the Job:
Health Care Litigation Associate
We are seeking a junior to mid-level Health Care Litigation Associate for our distinguished team based in Dallas, TX. This vital role focuses on sophisticated litigation matters which directly impact the health care sector. As part of our team, you'll engage in complex legal challenges related to medical staff issues, patient guardianship, end-of-life matters, and hospital reimbursement disputes, providing essential support and insight. This position offers an excellent opportunity to interact directly with clients on high-profile cases, contributing significantly to our national practice.
Compensation: $230,000.00 - $390,000.00 depending on experience. Eligible for discretionary bonuses based on performance. Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, life, and disability insurance, voluntary vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and generous paid time off are also provided.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Execute complex litigation issues that concern the health care industry, particularly relating to medical staff relationships, patient rights, and hospital financial practices.
  
• Draft and file highly detailed pleadings and motions in state and federal courts.
  
• Engage in strategic development of cases from inception through resolution, collaborating closely with other attorneys and the client.
  
• Provide ongoing legal advice to clients in the healthcare industry, focusing on regulatory and litigation risks.
  
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation and judicial decisions that may affect clients within the healthcare sector.
  
• Participate in trials, hearings, and arbitration proceedings relevant to health care litigation matters.
  
  Minimum Position Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
    
  • Active Texas Bar license is required.
    
  • Minimum of three years of experience in health care litigation.
    
  • Demonstrated experience in managing medical staff matters, patient guardianship issues, end-of-life controversies, and hospital reimbursement litigation.
    
  • Exceptional writing skills, adept at drafting persuasive state and federal court pleadings and motions.
    
  • Ambitious, driven, and team-oriented attitude to support and cultivate growth within our national practice.
    
    Preferred Qualifications:
    
    • 
      
    • Experience working directly with hospitals is highly favored.
      
    • Federal clerkship is preferred, providing a solid foundation in judicial processes and decision-making relevant to our practice areas.
