Job SummaryUT Health Tyler seeks a skilled Radiation Therapist to deliver high-quality patient care and contribute to our team's success.About the RoleAs a Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering radiation therapy treatments to cancer patients as prescribed by the physician and directed by the physics department.Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual calculations to ensure accurate treatment plans.
• Fabricate custom shielding blocks to protect patients and staff.
• Perform quality assurance checks and warm-up Linear Accelerators to maintain optimal equipment performance.
• Communicate effectively with patients and family members to provide support and information throughout the treatment process.
• Supervise student clinical rotations to foster the development of future radiation therapists.Qualifications
  • Graduate of an approved school of radiation therapy technology or a school of radiologic technology with a radiation therapy program.
